What times are regular services? Are the services different?
During the regular program year (Mid September through mid-May) we offer four Sunday morning celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. Our first service is at 7:30 a.m., Rite I.  The morning includes two Eucharists at 9:00 a.m. with Rite II in the church and Rite III in the parish hall, and a Eucharist celebrated at 11:15 a.m., Rite II.  All three of these services include music. In January,  the first Saturday through  Palm Sunday weekend, a 4:30 p.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II, is added.  During summer months we have two morning celebrations of the Holy Eucharist  celebrated at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., Rite II.  There is also a Wednesday morning Eucharist celebrated year-round in the church at 9:30 a.m.
Morning Prayer, Rite II, is offered on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. The monthly Healing Eucharist sponsored by the Order of St. Lukeis celebrated at noon on the second Thursday of each month. All are welcome to attend. All Souls Chapel is open weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for private prayers. Prayer teams are available on Sunday mornings following the 9:00 a.m. (10:00 a.m. summer) Eucharist.

Is nursery or childcare available?
Nursery (infants through three-year-olds) for most church events and for all Sunday morning services, with the exception of 7:30, is offered by professional child care providers. Parents are encouraged to bring their children into the service for communion. Childcare is also offered for many church events including Women’s Bible Study and Education for Ministry. The nursery is located off the center (fountain) courtyard.

What is Journey to Adulthood?
Journey to Adulthood   Grades 9-12
This is a program of spiritual formation for young people that provides a liturgical frame for their experience in our modern culture. Journey to Adulthood celebrates their individuality and their creative potential and instructs them in skills needed for successful adult participation in church and society. This program is based on two key concepts: manhood and womanhood are gifts from God, and adulthood must be earned. The program includes in-depth exploration of Self, Spirituality, and Society. Further, Journey to Adulthood follows the imperatives of the Baptismal Covenant and enables young people to discover and experience the love of God. Christian formation is a lifetime process and this program gives young people a firm foundation on which to build.

What is Adult Christian Formation?
We offer a variety of classes during the 10:10 – 11:05 Christian Formation hour and throughout the week as outlined on our Adult Christian Formation page. We also offer the Wednesday Night Outs series seasonally for adults. Dinner is included by reservation, and the programs are always noted on the calendar on our home page.

How do I become a member at Trinity-by-the-Cove? How do I transfer my records?
If you are coming to us from an Episcopal background, you contact Judy Fratus, our Member-Ministry Coordinator at
jfratus@trinitybythecove.com or 262-6581 ext. 213 and ask her to contact your previous church to transfer your membership. If you come from a tradition other than Episcopal, Catholic, or Lutheran Orthodox, we request that you attend our Confirmation classes and be confirmed when Bishop Dabney Smith makes his annual visit in the Spring. Click here for more information on adult confirmation at Trinity-by-the-Cove through the Focus on Faith Program.

How can I get involved at Trinity-by-the-Cove?
Trinity-by-the-Cove has a very active Newcomers’ process. Once you complete the Visitor/Newcomer form on the web or fill out a pew card during church, Judy Fratus, member-ministry coordination will contact you and take you under her wing. Our many ministries are described on the web site with contact names and phone numbers. Just call or email the contact person for any ministry you wish to join.
Newcomers dinners and orientations occur every few months, and all new members and visitors to the church are invited. You also will note that members of Trinity wear name tags; a form is available on the front table in the parish hall for you and your family. Fill it out and your name tag will be placed on the ribbons in the name tag closets in the parish hall. Visit our Worship and Music, Outreach, and Pastoral Care pages on this website to find more opportunities to become involved.

Could I speak with a priest?
Absolutely. We invite you to call the church office at 239-262-6581 Ext. 202 to make an appointment with one of our clergy.
