The Gospel of Matthew
We share our insights gained through daily scripture readings for the Gospel of Matthew. These readings are the appointed readings for the daily Eucharist, keeping us plugged into the flow of the church when we, for the most part, can’t come to church physically on Sundays.
These readings are emailed each morning along with Biblical commentary and suggestions for praying with the scripture for the day. The format of the emails accords with the ancient tradition of Lectio Divina –
Start with the short scripture reading
Supply just enough background commentary to provide context
Follow up with some questions for reflection
Lead into prayer
