The theme of of the 2020 Advent Quiet Morning of Reflection, sponsored by the Daughters of the King, is Living with Uncertainty in Courage, Faith and Hope. The theme was inspired by a quote from Thomas Merton:
“You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”
Over the course of the morning, the clergy of Trinity-by-the-Cove, Mthr. Jean, Fr. Nicholas, Fr. Steve and Fr. Edward, will offer reflections on the spiritual aspects of living with uncertainty, fear, anxiety, isolation and loneliness in Covid-19 pandemic times.
