Our program scheduled for January 18th complements the Sunday morning Christian Education series, as Dr. Steven Peay, our speaker, speaks on Benedictine Spirituality. Fr. Peay began studying church history while in college, this led him to a monastic life when he entered the St. Vincent Archabbey in Pennsylvania. He eventually became a Roman Catholic priest, and was received into the Episcopal Church in 2010. In addition to teaching Homiletics and Church History, Fr. Peay is Dean and President of Nashotah House, one of our Episcopal seminaries. Priests trained at Nashotah House live in the Benedictine disciplines of work, study and prayer together demonstrating that The Rule of St. Benedict continues to be useful, adaptable and enduring 1500 years after its inception.
Please sign the roster in the parish hall to attend. Dinner is $20 per person.
