Silent Film "Sherlock, Jr."
Buster Keaton stars in this 1924 silent film about a young movie projectionist who dreams about becoming a detective. The American Film Institute named this film as one of the funniest one hundred movies of all time. Silent films were never silent: They were always accompanied by music, be it orchestra, organ or piano. Our director of music has compiled a musical score especially for this film which he will play on our grand piano in the new parish hall. John's grandfather was an actor in the early days of the silents; John has accompanied films as a hobby since he was 12 years old.
