The goals of Adult Formation are to support the mission statement of Trinity-by-the-Cove by providing opportunities to learn about the Good News in a way that our lives are transformed. The purpose is that we may respond with sharing, service and worship. These opportunities are offered through Adult Forums on Sunday mornings, weekly Bible/book studies, small group meetings, Intercessory Prayer, Wednesday Night Out, and others. The Adult Christian Education Commission serves as an advisory board to the parish clergy.
Our Sunday morning Adult Forums are held in the Formation Room, located off the 'fountain courtyard', from 10:10 - 11:00 am. The topics vary in content and often are based on a book the class is reading. The Adult Christian Formation Commission is reviewing the format of the forums for structure and content. Stay tuned for possible changes.
The number of choices for adult forums depends on the season and how many parishioners are in Naples at the time. In the fall, one forum is offered with January to April expanding to as many as three or four. In the past, no Adult Formation classes have been offered during the summer. However, this summer we will pilot a class and test the response. Stay tuned for details.
