The objective of the Service/Mission Commission determines how Trinity-by-the-Cove should best support charities within our local community and beyond by serving as "Christ's hands".  At least four service projects will be offered each year with opportunities for all parishioners to participate including children and youth in one or two projects. Our commitment to the Dominican Republic remains with a focus on increasing awareness and communicating with and from the deanery committee for the Dominican Republic.

The commission is committed to one national and one international service project on alternating years.  Provision of scholarships will be explored to enable parishioners of all means to participate in and travel to out-of-town projects. The commission will explore the feasibility of offering a mission-type project and youth pilgrimage in the same year.

The service commission plans to increase marketing of opportunities with Episcopal Relief and Development.

The first Wednesday of each month is Trinity-by-the-Cove Habitat for Humanity Day. Most of the work will be indoor painting of homes. Contact Doug Burke for more information, 239-352-2660.
